Hong Kong, a Special Administrative Region of People’s Republic of China, is currently experiencing a major limitation in its Democratic society. A nonviolent protest called “Occupy Central Campaign” is being made against the Hong Kong government because the citizens want democratic elections and a truly democratic society. Hong Kong was originally a British colony. After 1997, Hong Kong was handed back to China. As we all know, China is a communist country. China promised to let Hong Kong have their own democratic system under the policy of “One country, Two systems”. However, China is slowly making an impact in Hong Kong’s democratic system. The freedom of press is slowly being taken away as television broadcasting companies began to censor what was really happening in the protest currently happening in Hong Kong. Police began to mistreat the protestors by using an excessive amount of violence on innocent civilians. I ask for you to speak out and support the Occupy Central Campaign in order for Hong Kong to have a bright and democratic future. Thank you for your support.plz share !
